Sublimation, ceramic Tiles, proclain /hard surface /glass  permanent printing system,a small but very effective   neat and clean ,one man  handling commercial project,
Sublimation Requirements:
Since sublimation dyes below the surface of the product, it is important to use only products that are receptive to the sublimation dyes. Man made organic coatings, i.e, epoxy, lacquer, polyester, nylon usually sublimate well. Metal needs to be specially coated for sublimation. For best results, use only Ultra-Coat Metal which is designed specifically for sublimation imprinting. Ceramics (mugs and tiles) also need to have a special coating (not just glazed).

T-shirts need special consideration. First, since sublimation dyes beneath the surface, it will only darken an object. Consequently, you can not use sublimation to imprint dark fabric (our BMP patch material can be used as a white patch material for imprinting dark fabric.) Also, unless the T-shirt has a polyester content of 65% or greater, the T-shirt needs to be prepped with a special paper. Otherwise the imprint will not be very bright and will wash poorly. Nova Chrome's CLC transfer paper will work great for prepping cotton shirts.

Nova Chrome's custom imprinting systems are easy to use & represent a small investment for the profit potential that they can realize. With our system, you can quickly custom imprint a variety of products without any setup. Whether you are imprinting one name on a plastic namebadge or 100 mugs with a full-color logo, there is no better system. The good news is that the process is very simple:

First you create a sublimation heat transfer from a printer connected to either a Mac or PC. You can use any popular graphics program, i.e., CorelDraw, PhotoShop, etc., to create your graphics. A scanner would be needed if you want to scan in a photo, a drawing or logo.

Then you heat the transfer onto the item you are imprinting, i.e., T-shirt, coated mug, metal plate, etc. (Time, temperature and pressure varies with substrate.)

Remove the transfer and you're done!

There are three basic components to your system, in addition to your computer and graphics software:

1 - Printer with sublimation ink

2 - Heat Presses to apply the transfers

3 - Imprintable items

1 - Printers:

Sublimation Transfers:
Because of its versatility, sublimation is the king of heat transfers. Currently, there are two popular ways to create a sublimation transfer:

Epson Ink-Jet Printer with special Sublijet cartridges for full-color transfers at the highest resolution.

Laser Printer for creating 1 color transfers using a special cartridge filled with sublimation toner.

Each of the above printers has its strengths as well as limitations. These can be reviewed by clicking on the above links.

2 - Heat Presses:

A T-shirt press is necessary for applying heat transfers to flat items such as: T-shirts, nylon jackets, metal plates, ceramic tiles and Unisub wood & plastic products.

Nova Chrome's Mug Pro Plus allows you to custom imprint coated mugs from 11 oz. - 22 oz. The optional Tile/Plate Satellite Unit attaches to the Mug Pro Plus and will accommodate ceramic dinner plates and tiles. The optional Mug Satellite Unit allows you to print two mugs at once!
